Metro Ministries Metro Ministries in Brooklyn, New York provides Christmas stockings and gifts to over 40,000 inner city children each year. Many of these are children that they minister to on a weekly basis. The looks on the children's faces are priceless when they are handed that special gift during one of over 75 Sidewalk Sunday Schools across the city or six sessions held at Metro all within one week in December. What you give during the Global Quest offering provides gifts for many kids who would otherwise have nothing. Their smiles, laughter and excitement are absolutely contagious. It's not just dollars you give; it's a tool of hope for kids that many say are hopeless. Thank you for helping provide hope through a gift given with love at Christmas. -Rick Fountain, Assistant Director, Evangelism USA and Director of CityQuest |
Global Quest enables the youth of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church to make a contribution to a lost and dying world. This program utilizes the fundraising efforts of our youth to make an eternal impact in the major metropolitan areas of the world with a special focus on reaching major U.S. cities. Young people also have the opportunity to be a part of Global Quest trips and Evangelism USA City Quest trips. This Thursday night at Youth Quest, young people will have the opportunity to give in the Global Quest offering, where 100% of the gifts will be divided among three important ministries: Metro Ministries, People to People, and Free Camp. Click here to watch the Global Quest offering video! Help us meet our goal of raising a minimum of $30,000 in the Global Quest offering on Thursday evening at Youth Quest. These three ministries will receive 100% of the money given in this offering. You can make a difference! Many parents in developing countries can't afford to buy their children new clothes, take them to the doctor, or send them to school with the necessary supplies. People to People Ministres (PTP) provides the basic necessities and hope for these children. PTP also coordinates child sponsorship, feeding outreaches, and disaster relief efforts in more than 45 emerging countries. This year's Youth Quest offering will present gifts and special food along with the true Christmas story to give a total Christmas experience for over 5,000 children around the world. Be a part of sharing the Christmas Spirit by giving in this special offering. |
In 1990, Christian Heritage Church (Amarillo, TX) began holding "Free Camp," so named because there was no charge to attend- it was free! Free Camp endeavors to build a utopia where all people- regardless of race, social, or economic barriers- are treated equally. There are no competitions that allow someone with an athletic or intellectual advantage to win. Each child is encouraged to build relationships with their small groups as they spend the day together. Free Camp has expanded and is becoming a mission trip location for teens across the nation, offering outreaches in Amarillo, TX; Phoenix, AZ; and Petersburg, VA. Join this exciting opportunity to share the Good News with those who are hungry for love. -Gary Burd, Pastor, Christian Heritage Church and Bishop, Great Plains Conference This year's camp theme: |
